Everything was amazing. This hotel truly feels like my home in Kyoto. Thank you, my friend Bala, for always making time for my extra wishes and even treating me to my favorite cappuccino when I returned for the second time to the DoubleTree. All the staff were exceptionally helpful and kind — I genuinely felt at home. The breakfast was amazing, and the location is perfect — just a 10-minute walk to all the must-see tourist spots. There are bus stops and a metro station right next to the hotel, and convenience stores just across the street. I tried many hotels during my 3 weeks in Kyoto, and from now on, I’ll always choose Hilton DoubleTree Higashiyama. Thank you for everything! 💜

The cleaning staff is also great - always smiley and its great coming back to a nice, superbly tidied up room. Great location - peaceful and near train station and short drive away from major Kyoto attraction, such as Gion. Will always stay at this hotel when in Kyoto.

Their attentiveness and professionalism has made us extend our stay in Kyoto and do day trips to other areas rather than move hotels. Breakfast offered a very good choice and even had the original Swiss bircher muesli! The staff was super friendly and international. A subway station is right around the corner, and walking to Kiyomizu temple takes about 20 mins.

The staff were really accommodating and friendly and we loved the warm cookie we received from the reception desk as soon as we checked in. It was a really nice gesture!
